1. Acceptance

By accessing or using ScamAlert (scamalert.run), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What ScamAlert Is

ScamAlert is a community-powered scam reporting and awareness platform. We provide information as-is for educational and informational purposes.

Important: ScamAlert is NOT law enforcement, legal advisors, or a substitute for reporting to authorities. If you believe you have been scammed, contact local law enforcement and relevant authorities (FTC, cybercrime.gov.in, etc.).

3. User Content

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of scam reports you submit.
  • Reports must be made in good faith — false reports intended to harm individuals or businesses are prohibited.
  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.
  • By submitting a report, you grant ScamAlert a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it publicly on the platform.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false or malicious scam reports.
  • Harass other users.
  • Use the platform to defame individuals or businesses without basis.
  • Scrape or crawl the platform without written permission.
  • Attempt to deanonymize anonymous reporters.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.

5. Disclaimer

  • ScamAlert provides information for educational purposes.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted reports.
  • We are not liable for decisions you make based on information found on this platform.
  • The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

If you believe you've been scammed, contact local law enforcement and relevant authorities such as the FTC, cybercrime.gov.in, or your local police.

6. DMCA / Takedown Requests

If a business or individual believes a scam report is false or defamatory, they can request removal by contacting contact@scamalert.run. We will review all takedown requests within 7 business days and take appropriate action.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
