ScamAlert (scamalert.run) is operated by Cordone LLC, a California-based company. ScamAlert is an Alset Academy initiative providing free scam awareness and intelligence.
2. What We Collect
- Account information — email and display name when you sign up (optional; you can use the platform without an account).
- Scam reports — reports you submit are public by default.
- Comments — comments you post on scam reports.
- AI scam check messages — logged for abuse prevention. Not linked to your identity unless you are signed in.
- Usage analytics — page views and search queries, aggregated and not personally identifiable.
- IP addresses — for rate limiting and fraud prevention only.
3. How We Use It
- To operate the scam database and community features.
- To send you scam alerts if you opt in.
- To improve our AI scam detection.
- To prevent abuse of our platform.
6. Data Retention
- Account data — kept until you delete your account.
- Scam reports — kept indefinitely as part of the public database.
- AI check logs — retained for 90 days.
7. Your Rights
You can delete your account, export your data, or contact us at contact@scamalert.run for any data-related requests.
8. Children
ScamAlert is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. India (DPDP Act)
We comply with applicable Indian data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Indian users may exercise their data rights by contacting us at contact@scamalert.run.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
